October Pillow Project

This month’s project is a “knot” pillow. I saw a fabric one in a store and thought it was super cute. It is basically a long tube-shaped pillow that you can turn into a “knot” and there is a little button to help it hold that twisted pretzel shape. I want to turn it into a knitted pillow.  

The first step was to decide the colorway I wanted to go with. I wanted it to have think stripes all the way down (similar to the fabric one I had seen) and use up the yarn I already have on hand.  I also wanted a more exciting combo than the boring taupe and white on the pillow I had found.

I went with deep purple and a light grey. I have a ton of this yarn on hand, and I think it is going to look fantastic. Let me know what you think in the comments.

I am working on knitting up a sample version myself now, and will post the full pattern when I can. Along with pictures of the finished project.
